A tragic head-on collision on State Route 63 Sunday afternoon claimed the life of Stacey Vinsant, leaving the Claiborne County community reeling.
The crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. near Ausmus Lane, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Investigators reported that a westbound Toyota Camry crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with a Honda Accord. The impact was severe, and emergency responders arriving at the scene found the vehicles damaged and the roadway partially blocked.
Stacey Vinsant, a passenger in the Toyota, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. All four occupants in both vehicles were wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision. The three other individuals involved sustained injuries, though officials have not released further details regarding their conditions.
